Sunday Report

Edition 19, Week 29: Feeling Hot Hot Hot

Welcome to edition 19 of the Sunday Report! I always wonder when the moment arrives that I've got nothing to share. It's just so strange that I have something to report EVERY - SINGLE - SUNDAY 🫣🫣🫣

Either way, let's get to it!

Asobi for Apple

Update 1.3.7 1.4 is out!! You know, the update that changes everything, everywhere, all at once -> I hear you guys are liking it, especially the new Adaptive Frame Pacing!

I shared a couple of things such as a video of the new direct connection method for Internet Remote Play and another big milestone for Asobi -> full owned cloud catalog support and the unification of the cloud catalog of PS3/PS4 and PS5 games.

**No more missing games**

All of them are there and in the super rare case you're missing one -> just hit me up and I'll get it sorted.

The update for the missing games will drop in week 29, probably at the end of the week, but I'll do my best to ship it early so you can enjoy the fun before the weekend starts!

Next to that, I have a couple more surprises coming in for Cloud gaming and Remote Play. More on that soon!

Asobi for Android

Good news, a big update should drop in the next couple of days with one of them being the unified PS Cloud games section just like Asobi for Apple has. You'll also get the new Adaptive Frame Pacing method and I expect to finish the video compatibility mode so I can lower the minimum OS to Android 11. Oh and I'm pushing to add direct connection mode into it as well.

Also, thanks for getting me to buy a Retroid Pocket 5! Fantastic little device! I'm working on getting rumble to work on it, and support for the retro controller scheme. On top of that -> the touchpad fix is in!

You'll see the release notes drop very soon!

Asobi for Steam

No progress as of yet, just that there's a delay from Valve themselves stating "Your build/store page requires further review and will take some additional time beyond the normal 3-5 business days:". I just hope I get some news in the next few days. Either way, I've got an IP lawyer's letter ready to send whenever they get back to me, so this should get approved. Just a matter of time.

In the meantime, I'm just updating the app to make it more full-featured for the eventual release.

Asobi for Meta Quest

Not much I want to share just yet, but I plan to push it to the Meta Quest Store this week to see if I can get approval for it. So fingers crossed! And let's see if I can share some content soon.

Midori for Apple (r/MidoriApp)

I delayed the update a bit. I've decided to add the Adaptive Frame Pacing so you get a much smoother experience while streaming. Most of it is finished so it should drop next week.

  • Adaptive Frame Pacing
  • Mouse and keyboard support
  • Local multiplayer support
  • Performance enhancements for upscaling and frame generation
  • Multiple bug fixes
  • Interface tweaks (although a bigger overhaul is planned)
  • No more need for VPNs to start a game
  • More soon!

In Closing

Thanks for reading and as always thanks for all the feedback and support! Keep it coming!

Have a great week!
