UDP ports that may need to be opened for PS Cloud and PS Now cloud streaming.
Cloud streaming connects to Sony's servers to stream games directly — no console needed. If the game starts loading but you get a black screen or disconnect, your network may be blocking the required UDP ports.
Make sure the following UDP ports are not blocked on your network:
| Port | Used for |
|---|---|
| UDP 2053 | Streaming |
| UDP 40101 | Streaming & datacenter selection |
These ports apply to both PS Cloud (PS5 games) and PS Now (PS3 & PS4 games).
Your device initiates the connection, and the video stream flows back over the same path. Most routers allow this automatically, so you don't need to set up port forwarding — just make sure UDP on these ports isn't blocked.
Some networks block UDP traffic. If cloud streaming doesn't work, try using a mobile hotspot instead.
If the game starts loading but you get a black screen or immediate disconnect, it's almost always a blocked UDP port. The session setup works, but the actual video stream can't get through.
