UDP ports that may need to be opened on your firewall or router for Internet Remote Play to work.
Internet Remote Play connects to your PlayStation® over the internet (not local Wi-Fi). Most home networks work without changes, but strict firewalls or corporate/university networks may need these ports opened.
Make sure the following UDP ports are not blocked on your network:
| Port | Used for |
|---|---|
| UDP 9295 | Streaming |
| UDP 9296 - 9297 | Streaming |
| UDP 3478 | NAT discovery |
| UDP 49152 - 65535 | Peer-to-peer connection |
If your PlayStation® is behind a strict NAT, you may also need to forward these ports on the console's router:
| Port | Used for |
|---|---|
| UDP 9295 | Streaming |
| UDP 9296 - 9297 | Streaming |
| UDP 3478 - 3480 | PSN & NAT discovery |
On your PlayStation®, go to Settings → Network → Connection Status. NAT Type 1 (Open) or Type 2 (Moderate) work best. NAT Type 3 (Strict) may have trouble connecting.
If your router supports UPnP (Universal Plug and Play), enabling it can automatically handle port mapping without manual forwarding. Most modern routers have this enabled by default.
These networks often block UDP traffic, which prevents the connection. If you can't connect, try using a mobile hotspot or VPN as a workaround.
